Feeling a little cramped in economy class, but don’t have the budget to splurge on the bubbles and leg-room bonanza of business class?

Aer Lingus believes it has the solution with new Premium Economy Class called ‘AerSpace’.

The new class, which can be booked now from €129 each-way, will be available on a select number of short-haul routes from September.

It bundles a first-row window or aisle seat, with the middle seat unoccupied “for roomier and more efficient” travel, with reserved cabin bin space.

Also included are complimentary airport lounge access, fast track security, priority boarding and on-board refreshments.

AerSpace will initially be rolled out across 27 of Aer Lingus’s busier routes – including services to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Lisbon and Barcelona.

It does not apply to transatlantic routes.
